Refund Policy

Overview

NVYT is a marketplace that connects event organizers with attendees. As such, refund policies are set and managed by individual event organizers, not by NVYT.

Before purchasing tickets, we encourage you to review the specific refund policy displayed on each event page. If no policy is stated, we recommend contacting the organizer directly before making a purchase.

Organizer Refund Policies

Event organizers on NVYT can set their own refund policies, which may include:

  • Full refund - Available until a specified number of days before the event
  • Partial refund - A percentage refund based on timing of the request
  • Non-refundable - No refunds available after purchase
  • Custom policy - Specific terms set by the organizer

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund for a ticket purchase:

  1. Contact the event organizer directly - You can find organizer contact information on the event page or in your order confirmation email.
  2. Provide your order details - Include your order number, ticket information, and reason for the refund request.
  3. Wait for the organizer's response - The organizer will review your request according to their refund policy.
  4. Refund processing - If approved, refunds are processed through the original payment method and may take 5-10 business days to appear in your account.

Event Cancellations

If an event is cancelled by the organizer:

  • You will receive an email notification about the cancellation
  • The organizer is responsible for communicating refund options to all ticket holders
  • Contact the organizer directly to arrange your refund
  • If you have difficulty reaching the organizer, contact NVYT support for assistance

Event Postponement or Changes

If an event is postponed or significantly changed:

  • The organizer should notify all ticket holders of the changes
  • Your ticket may remain valid for the new date
  • If you cannot attend the new date, contact the organizer to discuss refund options
  • Refund eligibility depends on the organizer's policy and the nature of the change

Platform Fees

When a refund is processed, the original ticket price is refunded to the attendee. Platform service fees may or may not be refundable depending on the organizer's policy and the circumstances of the refund. Payment processing fees charged by payment providers (e.g., GCash, Maya, card networks) are generally non-refundable.

For Event Organizers

As an event organizer, you are responsible for:

  • Setting a clear refund policy for your event before ticket sales begin
  • Communicating your refund policy clearly on your event page
  • Responding promptly to refund requests from attendees
  • Processing approved refunds in a timely manner
  • Notifying all attendees promptly if your event is cancelled or significantly changed
  • Ensuring you have sufficient funds available to process refunds if needed

Disputes

If you are unable to resolve a refund dispute with an event organizer:

  1. Document all communication with the organizer
  2. Contact NVYT support at support@nvyt.app with your order details and communication history
  3. We will review the situation and may assist in facilitating communication
  4. Note that NVYT's role is to facilitate, not to make binding refund decisions on behalf of organizers

Refund Timeframes

Once a refund is approved and processed:

  • GCash / Maya - 1-3 business days
  • Credit / Debit cards - 5-10 business days
  • GrabPay - 3-5 business days

Actual processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
